Candle Care Guide

Follow these tips to maximize burn time, scent throw, and safety.

The First Burn

Allow wax to melt completely to the edges before extinguishing. This prevents tunneling. For 8oz jars, this takes 2-3 hours.

Trim Your Wick

Before every burn, trim to 1/4 inch. This prevents mushrooming and soot.

Burn Time

Burn 2-4 hours per session. Less than 1 hour causes tunneling. More than 4 hours can shift the wick.

Placement

Use a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts. Drafts reduce scent throw significantly.

When to Stop

Stop when 1/2 inch of wax remains to prevent overheating.

Repurpose Your Jar

Clean with warm soapy water. Our black glass jars make great holders for brushes, pens, or small plants.

Safety

• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Keep away from children and pets
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours
• Keep wax pool free of debris
